6 Swayamprabha The SWAYAM PRABHA is a group of 32 DTH channels devoted to telecasting of high-quality educational programmes on 24x7 basis using the GSAT-15 satellite. Every day, there are new content for at least 4 hours which would be repeated 5 more times in a day, allowing the students to choose the time of their convenience. The channels are uplinked from BISAG, Gandhinagar. The contents are provided by NPTEL, IITs, UGC, CEC, IGNOU, NCERT and NIOS. The INFLIBNET Centre maintains the web portal. Access Here
7 Shodhganga INFLIBNET Centre provides a platform for research students to deposit their Ph.D. theses and make it available to the entire scholarly community in open access. The repository has the ability to capture, index, store, disseminate and preserve ETDs submitted by the researchers. 8 Shodhgangotri Under this initiative of INFLIBNET called “ShodhGangotri”, research scholars / research supervisors in universities are requested to deposit electronic version of approved synopsis submitted by research scholars to the universities for registering themselves for the Ph.D programme. The repository on one hand, reveals the trends and directions of research being conducted in Indian universities, on the other hand it help to avoid duplication of research. 10 Open Knowledge Repositories It is an international repository developed by World Bank Group. The World Bank is the largest single source of development knowledge. The World Bank Open Knowledge Repository (OKR) is The World Bank’s official open access repository for its research outputs and knowledge products. 11 National Programme on Technology Enabled Learning (NPTEL) The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) was initiated by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) along with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2003. It is largest online repository in the world of courses in engineering, basic sciences and selected humanities and social sciences subjects. Access Here
12 Legal Information Institute of India In 2005-08 AustLII developed a substantial number of databases of Indian law under its Asian Legal Information Institute (AsianLII) project, funded by AusAID, and its Commonwealth Legal Information Institute project, funded by the Australian Research Council (ARC). In 2009 AustLII successfully obtained from AusAID further funding for its AsianLII project, including for the development of a separate LII of India website as part of the project. NLU Delhi, NALSAR and NLUI in Bangalore offered their support for this application. From November 2013 the above first phase of the LII of India project, and its relationships, were completed. AustLII then resumed sole responsibility for LII of India, as is appropriate for it to do as a recipient of AusAID and ARC funding. 18 ICSSR Data Service: Social Science Data Repository INFLIBNET Centre has developed a statistical data repository of socio-economic and industrial data. The repository’s aim is to provide access to wide range of unit level ASI and NSS datasets generated by Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), New Delhi seamlessly to the users across the country.
